Maajid ibn Abdulazeez az-Ziyadi in his verification of the book “I’maaratul Quboor” [Building of Graves] of the Allaamah the muhaddith shaykh Abdurrahman ibn Yahya al-Mu’allimi , narrates a story showing the humility of the shaykh, he says:

” One time shaykh Ahmad Shaakir [the great muhaddith] wanted and  desired to  see shaykh Abdurrahman ibn Yahya al-Mu’allimi (as he had never met him), so he went to the Maktabatul Haram [The Library in Makkah] (where shaykh al-Mu’allimi used to work) and proceeded to the-in-charge of the library; shaykh Sulayman as-Swan’ee.

And after some time talking to him, shaykh Abdurrahman ibn Yahya al-Mu’allimi came with tea and water  to where they were and put it forth for them [shaykh Ahmad Shakir and shaykh Swane'ee], and then he left; and went back to his reading [research].

After a while shaykh Ahmad Shakir said to shaykh Swane’ee: ‘I want to see shaykh Abdurrahman ibn Yahya al-Mu’allimi.’

So shaykh Swane’ee said to him: ‘ The one who brought tea and water; is  al-Mu’allimi.’

And thus it was’nt except for moments; and Shaykh Ahmad Shaakir started to cry.”

May Allaah have mercy on them all.

ذكر ابن بكير قال: جاء رجل إلى مالك بن أنس…

فقال: يا أبا عبد الله، إنى رأيت رجلا سكرانا يتقافز يريد أن يأخذ القمر، فقلت: امرأتي طالق إن كان يدخل جوف ابن آدم أشر من الخمر.

فقال: ارجع حتى أنظر في مسألتك.

فأتاه من الغد فقال له: ارجع حتى أنظر في مسألتك…
فأتاه من الغد فقال له: امرأتك طالق، إنى تصفحت كتاب الله وسنة نبيه فلم أر شيئا أشر من الربا، لأن الله أذن فيه بالحرب.

Ibn Bukayr said: ‘A man came to [Imaam] Maalik ibn Anas….’

And he said: ‘O, Abu Abdullaah; I saw a drunkard man jumping trying to grasp the moon!! 

So I said to myself [making an oath]: ‘Let my wife be divorced if there is anything entering the stomach of a human which is more worse than alcohol!!!’

So he [Imaam Maalik] said: ‘Let me look into this affair, so come back some other time.’

Thus the man came to him the next day.

But he [Imaam Maalik] said: ‘come back some other time; Let me look into this affair.’

Thus the man came to him the next day.

So he [Imaam Maalik] said to him: ‘Your wife is divorced!!! Surely I went through the Book of Allaah & the Sunnah of His prophet: I did not see anything more worse than ribaa (usury), because Allaah announced war upon those who deal in it (ribaa)!!!”

This is a reminder to all my Muslim brothers and sisters :

The brethren are living in make-shift tents relying upon huminitarian aid,

A whole society relegated to being refugees in their homeland,

The children wish they could have an education; or at least go out and play without tension,

At least a  day without sirens.

Just one.

My brothers and sisters, I ask from you not to forget the plight of our Muslim brethren,

The least we can do is keep supplicating  to the Lord of the earth and the heaven,

The Du’a is the weapon of the believers.

The bombs might have stopped raining but the hearts cant stop paining.

A humle plea to my brothers and sisters.

And I remind you:

Imaam Al-Bukharee and Imaam Muslim reported:

“A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim – he does not wrong him nor does he forsake him when he is in need; whosoever is fulfilling the needs of his brother, Allah is fulfilling his needs; whosoever removes distress from a believer, Allah removes from him a distress from a distressful aspect of the Day of Resurrection; and whosoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection.”

Sad and grieving news has reached of the death of the allaamah, the faqeeh, Muhammad Saalim Aaadud (rahimahullaah).

The news was announced in his village ‘Ummul Qura’, by some close relatives of the shaykh.
He had been ailing for some time now.

The Shaykh was a well known Salafi shaykh alhamdulillaah.

Surely we are from Allaah, and to Him we are returning.

Let everyone prepare himself.
